Cultural Aspects in Russian Language and Literature Education

The study of Russian language and literature plays a significant role in understanding the cultural identity, historical development, and moral values of Russian society. Cultural aspects in language and literature education help learners not only develop linguistic competence but also broaden intercultural communication skills and global awareness. This thesis examines the importance of integrating cultural components into Russian language and literature teaching, emphasizing the relationship between language, traditions, history, and literary heritage. The research highlights the role of classical and modern literary works in shaping students’ cultural understanding and critical thinking abilities. Special attention is given to educational methods that encourage students to explore cultural symbols, national values, and social traditions reflected in Russian literature. The study concludes that culturally oriented education enhances students’ motivation, interpretative skills, and appreciation of world literature.
