ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS’ ORNAMENTATION WORKS IN VISUAL ARTS EDUCATION

This article explores the assessment criteria for evaluating students’ ornamentation works in visual arts education. Emphasis is placed on the development of clear and objective standards to evaluate technical skill, creativity, composition, color usage, and aesthetic perception. The study highlights the importance of using formative and summative assessment methods to provide constructive feedback, foster student motivation, and enhance artistic competence. The article also examines the role of peer evaluation, self-assessment, and teacher-guided evaluation in developing students’ critical thinking and reflective abilities.
